Fundraising

Looking at the weather tomorrow, being favorable for diving. I will at the club at 0930 to change zincs. Any member who wishes to have their zincs changed please message me, 236-508-6531 and I will put you on the list. This being a fundraiser for Able Sail Victoria I ask that you donate, minimum $75 for two shaft zincs changed, $100 for shaft and propeller zincs.

Where we are scheduling multiple boats and are not getting out of the water between boats you will need to be at your boat to hand us the zincs you require changed.

C-5 - Argyle Bilge Alarm

Boat at C-5 (pretty sure the name was Argyle) had two alarms going yesterday (Oct 30). We turned the bilge pump to auto and a fair amount of water drained out - had to take the pump off auto though as the pump wouldn't stop even though the water had been drained. Another alarm was also going - not sure what it was but the battery monitor display was blinking and I think a red service light was on. We pushed a few buttons and I can't recall now how we got that alarm to go off, but anyway, Argyle, you should check your boat.

Thanks Barb and Andrew. All good. Went down and charged the battery up a bit. Thanks for caring enough to investigate. What a great community we have!

Loose Boards

Claude mentioned that some of the boards on the fingers that Argyle is alongside were loose. He nailed a few down. I found some more and nailed more down. There may be a hammer and nails in the generator box.

Be safe out there!
