It's that time of year when we call for nominations for our top club awards. These awards celebrate the spirit of voluntarism and community that makes CFSA such an amazing club. There has been a lot of hard work and effort spent this year and it's time to recognise your fellow members.
The awards up for nomination will be awarded at the annual awards night in February. They include:
The Prosser Trophy: This is seen as the top award open to CFSA members and is given to a member who has made a significant contribution to the club. It is awarded with a keeper mug.
Community Stewardship: Presented to any CFSA member for outstanding contribution to their fellow members, having shown high community spirit and enhanced fellowship and caused others the enjoyment of significant benefit in their membership experiences. It is awarded with a keeper mug.
Commodore's BZ: This award is given to a member for a specific contribution to CFSA that is worthy of recognition. It is awarded with a keeper mug.
Ship Repair Unit (Pacific): This is awarded to a member of the executive committee who has done an outstanding job. It is normally voted on and nominated by members of the committee, however, we are always interested in hearing about deserving members.
We have created a nomination form (linked below) that you can fill out (multiple times if necessary). The awards will be decided on 16 December 2026. Please help us to recognise the great work of our members.
Creating an impactful nomination doesn't have to be complicated. Here are some quick tips to help your nominee stand out:
Be specific about their contributions and impact on the CFSA community
Include examples of how they've gone above and beyond their regular duties
Share any feedback you've received from other members about their service
Consider different aspects: leadership, technical expertise, mentorship, or community building
