Updated information re: THRASH

Sharing from RVYC Fleet Captain:

FRIDAY JUNE 19 — TWILIGHT RACE + FIESTA KICKOFFA reminder that the regatta opens Friday evening with a Twilight Race for all fleets — first warning signal no earlier than 1830. Last year was only the first time we ran a Friday race at THRASH and it caught a number of people off guard, so we want to be clear: the Friday race is part of the regatta. If your fleet does not wish to participate (6mR, Martin 242s, or other classes), please notify the OA by noon on Friday June 19. That said, it turned out to be one of the highlights of the weekend — we'd strongly encourage you to sail it.After racing, come up to the clubhouse. The kitchen is staying open late with RVYC Nachos ($23, add beef or chicken for $5) and the Paloma cocktail special ($10 — tequila, lime, grapefruit). A great way to kick off the weekend with your crew. The Cascadia Silent Auction opens Friday evening — browse the items and get your bids in early.
SATURDAY JUNE 20 — THE MAIN EVENTMorning: Complimentary continental breakfast in the Main Lounge from 9:00am — muffins, bagels, fruit, and coffee/tea to go. Pre-race briefing follows. First warning no earlier than 1100, last warning no later than 1600.Post-racing: The THRASH DASH — a relay-style team lawn games time trial. Details to come, but clear your schedule and bring your competitive instincts off the water too.Saturday Evening — THRASH Fiesta (4:30pm–10:00pm): This is the one. Four Mexican food stations spread across the lawns and patio — Tacos, Chips & Dip, Mexican Street Corn, and a self-serve Churro Station. DJ Benji on the decks all evening. The patio bar is pouring pre-batched margaritas (lime, peach, or raspberry — $10), $7 Coronas, Hoyne Pilsner sleeves, and house wine.Dinner wristbands are $30 per person and are the only food offering for the evening. Your registration includes one ticket. Additional tickets are available on the Clubspot event page or at the bar on the night. Station-style, outside, with the whole fleet around you — this is genuinely one of the better deals on the racing circuit.
SUNDAY JUNE 21 — FINAL RACING + AWARDS Morning: Complimentary breakfast from 9:00am and a pre-race briefing. First warning no earlier than 1100, last warning no later than 1530.Post-race: Cash bar with $22 jugs of beer and nachos available. Awards ceremony in the Main Lounge — including the close of the Cascadia Silent Auction. Don't miss your chance to bid on some great items before the weekend wraps up.Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in every division. Perpetual trophies: the Skipper's Plan Perpetual Trophy (Random Leg Division 1) and the Ole Olsen Perpetual Trophy (Around the Buoys).STILL NEED TO REGISTER?Registration is $125 (includes Saturday dinner) and closes at 1800 Friday June 19. You'll need a valid PHRF-BC certificate on file; PHRF-NW certificates must be submitted to the OA by 1800 Wednesday June 17.Register at the Clubspot event page https://rvycracing.ca/regatta/GsW3edi7HD.
