Summer Sailing Camps

Summer “Learn to Sail” Camps: Ages 7-18

Sail Canada Instructors provide an action packed week of sail training in OPTI and 420 dinghies leading to Sail Canada Certification which can be used for a high school credit.  This is a COVID –friendly camp. Our staff will be sanitizing all equipment and facilities regularly to keep everyone safe. Safety is our top priority at CFSA.

Monday to Friday 830-400, before/after camp care available Cost vary by course, but there i a discount for members;. Register is through  PSP Recreation at CPAC  250-363-1009

OPTI Basic



  • Parent/Guardian must be at the first class to sign the waivers
  • Helmet waiver, photo waiver and emergency contacts

What to Expect

Expect to go sailing every day, rain or shine. The weather can be varied on the water so please come prepared with a hat, sunscreen, wind-breaker, change of clothes, towel, lunch, snacks and plenty of drinking water. Only close-toed shoes are allowed on the docks and in the boats. Safety (i.e. bike) helmets are required for all students under 16, unless a waiver is signed by the parent.  We have a few helmets available but you are encouraged to send your child with their own that fits them and they are comfortable with.  PFD’s are supplied, but we recommend you bring your own.
